SURREY FOOD BANK - COMMUNITY CONNECTIONS

At Radius Security, we are proud to work with the Surrey Food Bank to make a difference in our community. This amazing organization supports 12 to 14,000 people each month. And 41% of those clients are children. That’s between 4,900 and 5,700 kids coping with some of life’s greatest challenges. The Surrey Food Bank not only feeds, but also provides programs and services for the most vulnerable in our community.

Here is a letter, dated January 19, 2018, we received from the Surrey Food Bank following our 2017 holiday fundraising drive:

We have had a very busy fall and holiday season and it gives me great pleasure to take a moment now to write to you.

Heartfelt thanks to you and everyone at Radius Security/Vancouver Fire for your wonderful donation of $16,305.44 and 1023 pounds of food this holiday season. Every pound and dollar is important. Your team’s generosity is so appreciated and your thoughtfulness and creativity is inspiring.

In this new year, you will find our staff and volunteers are as dedicated as ever to our mandate of providing healthy, nutritious foods to low-income families and individuals in need and in transition, in Surrey and North Delta. As you may know, the Surrey Food Bank continues to support 12 to 14,000 people each month, with 41% being children. We continue to advocate for and offer support for those living with some of life’s greatest challenges: those lacking adequate income for basic needs, those coping with health challenges and other difficult temporary or on-going life situations beyond their control. We continue to create and support programs and services that strive to address the needs of the most vulnerable in our community.
